DIY BATH BOMBS

Bath bombs are a fun and easy way to add some excitement to your bath time routine. These fizzy little balls can turn an ordinary bath into a luxurious spa-like experience, all from the comfort of your own home. The best part is that you can easily make them yourself, with just a few simple ingredients. In this blog, we’ll guide you through the steps to create your very own DIY bath bomb.

What You’ll Need:

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup Epsom salt
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp water
20-30 drops of your favorite essential oil
Food coloring (optional)
Bath bomb molds

Step 1: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, and corn-starch until they are well combined. You can use a whisk to ensure that there are no clumps.

Step 2: Add the Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, melt the coconut oil in the microwave. Once it’s melted, add the water, essential oil, and food colouring (if desired) and mix well.

Step 3: Combine the Mixtures

Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring constantly. You want to be careful not to add too much liquid at once, as it can cause the mixture to start fizzing.

Step 4: Pack the Moulds

Using your hands, pack the mixture tightly into the bath bomb moulds. You want to make sure that they are tightly packed so that the bath bomb will hold its shape.

Step 5: Let the Bath Bombs Dry

Allow the bath bombs to dry in the moulds for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, gently remove the bath bombs from the mould and place them on a flat surface to continue drying for another 24 hours.

Step 6: Store and Enjoy Once the bath bombs are completely dry, they are ready to use or store. You can store them in an airtight container or a ziplock bag until you’re ready to use them. To use, simply drop one or two bath bombs into a warm bath and enjoy the fizz and aroma.

Making your own DIY bath bombs is a fun and easy project that can save you money and help you create your own unique bath time experience. With just a few simple ingredients and some bath bomb molds, you can create your own fizzy, aromatic bath bombs that will make your baths feel like a spa day.
